How far we have come in technology today just simply blows my mind. Today is the future that I dreamed about when I was a kid. I use to carry a Christmas tree light around when I was very young and pretend that when I held it between my fingers and placed my thumb on the back that it world throw fire from the end. It wasn't until years and years later that the Bic lighter came on the market with the touch of a button you could have instant fire.
What got me started today about all of this was reading the newspaper USA Today on my iPad for free. Checking my email, looking at Facebook and searching crags list. Apple has already contracted with several companies that do text books to get them for the iPad. Claudia and I have been buying our books in the form of ebooks now for a couple of years and reducing the number of trees that are killed on out behalf each year.
Can you imagine going to college or even high school now and caring one little device with all your books and writing stuff in it instead of the load of stuff in the book bag?
Satellite radio, cell phones I use to dream about not to speak of the many out patient surgeries that are possible today. It truly amazes me what I have seen come about in lifetime. I'm blogging now and ten years ago we both would have wondered what the heck that was.
Life progresses at lighten speed and you either embrace the change or you get left behind.
So ends the wisdom of today and I wish for each of you a wonderful day.
